From a Handshake to a Heartbeat
2014
The Introduction
Introduced through a mutual friend for work. Jyotsna started an internship under Roy, who had just launched his venture. Same college, different years—senior and junior discussing business and numbers.
Late 2014
Something More
Four or five months of long conversations later, we called it a relationship. And skipped straight past the usual struggle—we were living together from day one.
2015 – 2018
The Gurgaon Years
Wired more logically than romantically. We hopped between hotels, friends' places, and every corner of Gurgaon and Delhi—figuring life out one lease at a time.
2018
A Proper Address
Rented our first real flat. Businesses grew, jobs shifted, but home base stayed in Gurgaon.
2021
Married in a Pandemic
Covid gave us the perfect excuse to skip the shabang and finally convince our parents. Got married on a weekend, came home to the same flat, and carried on—only the family WhatsApp groups changed.
2022 – 2025
Dubai & 30+ Countries
Moved to Dubai, both went WFH, and became full-time digital nomads. Three years, thirty-plus countries, and a lot of shared window seats.
2025
The Logical Pivot
Every sea started looking like the last one. Surrounded by newly-parent friends, we did what we always do—decided logically it was time to change gears.
